New Fall Wreath!

Sunday, September 27, 2009

Looky what I found at my favorite local flea-tique store this weekend.

Isn't it cute?! I wish I'd been clever enough to make it myself...but no. However, here's how I think they did make it...

Get yourself one round styrofoam wreath form.

Cover both sides of the wreath form with moss (probably with a glue gun)

Add a whole bunch of faux orange crabapples to the front side.

And Voila! One lovely fall wreath!

Looooove it and i gotta say that wreaths are just not my thing to make (I got better things to do with my time) so I'd be all over buying one that cute!!!

That is so stinking cute!

Careful with the hot glue! Magic Brush had a "melt down" on her front porch when she did a lemon wreath!

I saw that wreath there on Friday! Gotta love that place, it is seriously addicting. :) It looks awesome on your black door!

That's great looking! :) I've been trying to figure out what I want to do on my front doors this fall. This our first autumn in this house and we have double front doors. I'll have to keep this idea in mind. Thanks for the inspiration!

Wow- what a great find! And doesn't seem too hard to make. I've been craving using moss around my place...branches, moss, and twigs. Something about the fall season....

Flea-tique....I LIKE that!!!! The wreath is adorable....I don't know if mine would look that good and have such straight rows! :)

Love this! I have an Easter wreath similar to this with pastel colored eggs all over it. You could make one of those!!!

One year - actually it was during the OJ trial, I sat at a card table in front of the TV and created a cranberry wreath. I used the styrofoam core, moss, and oodles of fresh cranberries on toothpicks. It took forever and boy did my fingers ache. I hung that baby up with pride. The nest day a squirrel tore it to shreds. I think next time I would go with the faux! ~ Robyn

Ohhh I love it! I love how every layer is so perfectly spaced...I'm weird like that. It's perfection!

Wow...that's a lot of crabapples! So pretty. I don't think I'd make such straight lines if I made it, but think it's gorgeous like it is!
Have a great day,

Hello AnNicole - lovin' your new find! It's so welcoming. I've seen one made with lemons, but I like the oranges better for Fall! Thank you for sharing.

I love the wreath, it gives you the feeling of October without using pumpkins.

This would be cute with pumpkins too. I may try this for the inside decor. I just finished making my wreath for the front door. Thanks for sharing.

I love this idea! I was just at the dollar tree and saw bags of miniature gourds - I wondered what the heck I could do with those, and now I know :)

I really like the color! It would be a great contrast to my black door, which seems to engulf any kind of wreath I put on it. :) Thanks!

I wish my door was black right now! I love the color against your door. What a great find!
