First of all, go check out Thrift Store Thursday at Holly's great blog Homebody. She's having a linky party so there should be lots of great stuff to see.

And in other news..., am I the only one out there that's ridiculously impatient? Granted, this can be a good thing in some ways because it keeps my butt in gear and helps me to accomplish a lot. For example, in the first weekend after moving into my old house I had stripped all of the wallpaper in the kitchen and entry, replaced the knobs on the kitchen cabinets, and started painting the dining room! But, um, can any human really keep up that pace?
Although, good ol' Mr. Armstrong may qualify...
Layla over at The Lettered Cottage did a great post the other day called her "Ta-Dah" list (if you haven't read it you should totally head over there) and she also did a great guest post over at Nesting Place yesterday (...seriously, that girl is having a rock star week). She's in the midst of redoing a complete fixer upper, so she knows a thing or two about being overwhelmed by house projects. I really admire her philosophy of:
A) Acknowledging what you HAVE accomplished, and
B) Pacing yourself by doing a little bit on the house each week, but not so much that you want to keel over....Um, is that a lightbulb moment for anyone besides me?

I am SO with you on this one!!! I need to take inventory of all that I've accomplished over here before I get frustrated again. : )
I read both of Layla's posts yesterday and was inspired to not look at the big picture of unfinished projects. It can be overwhelming! But it is hard to be patient. :)
I'm completely with you on being impatient. There are so many things that I want to do, and I want to do them NOW. But I have to think back to what I have done and that does make me feel better. Baby steps...
I'm with you. I did a post a while back now about appreciating what we have accomplished, instead of focusing on all the projects that lie ahead. Yesterday was a good reminder for me as thoughts of what has not been done around here have taken over recently.

I feel the same way. Someone recommended to me once that instead of making a To Do list, I make an already done list, so I'm focusing on what I DID accomplish that day, instead of what didn't get check off.
I am impatient too. We are doing our laundry room right now and it was torture waiting for the filler in the nail holes to dry so I could start painting. Then waiting for the paint to dry so we could put the flooring in. It just goes on and on. I'm not good at waiting.
Hi AnNicole! I found you through my friend Chris (Mabel+Lola) and I'm loving your blog - what a beautiful home you have made! Off to read some more...
When my family moved into our current house I changed all the locks on all the doors. And put in a new faucet for the sink. Within a month we ripped out all the carpets and put in wood floors.
Now we are starting to take our projects a little slower. I hope to start painting each room soon.
Im really impatient but I think Im also a perfectionist that if I dont have everything just right I wont start. I need to get out of that mode. :)
I cant believe you did all that work in a week. I think your wonderwoman in disguise! lol
PS. I used to watch wonderwoman was I was younger. I loved that show. Especially her super doper cool invisible jet.
