I Love Me Some Ikea

Sunday, July 26, 2009

I promise this will be my last post about Utah, but you know I can't possibly go to Ikea without sharing some of my favorite finds with you!

Like this great bench (love the pillows too):
These great (and inexpensive) enamel pitchers :
This fab white dining room furniture:
Don't you love the combination of the dark walls with the white vanities and mirror?:
Mmm, I'm loving this soothing bedroom:

I especially love the upholstered headboard:

Lovin' the curves on this little nightstand:

Have a great week!

P.S. I said "love" 6 times in this post. I think maybe I need a thesaurus :-).

I love Ikea, too. Sometimes they have some cute stuff - some of it's kinda "funky" though. I always wind up spending more money than I planned. ~ Robyn

I'm planning a trip to IKEA this week, too. I could lose myself in there for hours!

I know now that I will definitely be getting a few of those super cute pitchers.

LOL! I have the bench, the pitcher, the bookcase that's in the dining room shot and the chair, but mine is red. I LOVE me some IKEA.

I've never yet been to Ikea. I really need to for the storage but so far haven't been able to face it as everybody says it is such a horrendous experience with all the frenzied crowds! I wish you could shop online with them!

Some terrific pieces and photos! IKEA is always fun and I'm fortunate to have one minutes from my house.

I so want to hop over to IKEA now!! Thanks for the pictures!

Now I'm going to have to hop in my car and head back up to IKEA! ;) I think they must do the "apartments" similarly at all the IKEAS. Some of the rooms you took photos of look a lot like the ones I took pictures of on my last trip up. We must like some of the same things. :)

My 200th post Giveaway went up yesterday (Sunday) with my Thrifty Treasures post. :) Come by and check it out if you have a chance.

Yay! I love how much Ikea has changed their style over the last few years. How much were those enamel pitchers? I love them! They might be worth an hour drive to get a few!

I love Ikea as well. I hope you are having a fabulous time. You just reminded me that I have quite a few projects to complete and I must make it to Ikea before the end of the day.

Love IKEA - but you do get what you pay for, at least in my opinion! I love to get frames, and children stuff there.

I go to Ikea in Brooklyn from time to time to pick things up! I loved shopping there in college, but I still love going..I also like Crate & Barrel, Restoration Furniture and places like that. Hehe

And no one has better magnetic boards than Ikea...and the pitchers are adorable...!

You have listed everything that I love from Ikea. Here is a link to the pitcher you saw. It was in decoration, cuz they don't list things the same way other stores do.

Thanks for reminding me why I filled almost all my bedrooms and living room with stuff from them!

This post has highlighted for me the fact that I have an Ikea LESS than an hour from me and have never been! What am I waiting for?!?? I told want that vanity AND sink for MY 1/2 bath which is a warm charcoal color. The white would look so much better than the light oak that's in there now!!

Hey-
I hope you are getting back into your non vacation routine. Did you get your package from me? I won a give-a-way, was told it was mailed and have never received it so I am just checking to make sure yours arrived.

I am starting a NEW Mr. Linky party. It will begin on Aug 10th so everyone will have a week and a half to think about their first post. I have a poll up for votes on which button should be the new button. The "party" is called The Knock Off Knock Out-where THRIFTY meets creative sensation. Go over and learn more about the new weekly event and I would appreciate if you would cast your vote and HELP pick the new button design and its the last week for the July GIVE-A-Way, if you would like to be a part of that event..

There was a vignette set up in our IKEA of a whole apartment - it was all tiny and compact and blue and white and I just LOVED it. I used to go and check my kids into the child care and just go sit in that little apartment and leaf through the IKEA catalog and pretend I lived there. (Yes, I'm weird.) It was my Happy Place. They eventually disassembled it to do another display and I have a little pang every time I pass that corner now. (Maybe I am spending TOO MUCH time in IKEA?)
