Martha and Her Vineyard

I have a friend who's visiting Martha's Vineyard right now....can you say jealous? Seriously, I would give my left pinky finger to spend a week in "The Vineyard" right now. You know, with its charming little villages, adorable shingled cottages, and salty ocean breeze. Ahhh, that's my idea of heaven.

Well...since we can't all join my friend in "The Vineyard" I thought I'd give us a little eyecandy so we can pretend.

  1. 2nd floor porches are to die for! Especially, when they look out over that view. And hardwood floors polished to that shine ... I could easily get used to that kind of life:)

  11. Hey, AN! Is your friend named Barack or Michelle? LOL
Just an FYI, you aren't "in" the Vineyard, you're "on" it. That's the lingo of the Cape & Islands.

  13. I LOVE Martha's Vineyard! I go every summer and it's like Heaven on earth. The houses/cottages are gorgeous, and I long to have a home I can decorate "Vineyard Style"! Thanks for posting this!

  14. I love your choice of images! Good taste! I'd love to be there as well. But instead I'm here, in Texas. Nothing to crow about. But I'm happy in my cozy little house.

  22. I am a long LONG way from Martha's Vineyard here in Kansas. Although I can walk out on my deck to enjoy our 60 degree Sunday morning I can't seem to muster up the imagination of that ocean breeze. Sigh. Thanks for the fun.

  24. Love the pictures - for those looking for a way to visit the Vineyard without having to spend $$$$, have a look at www.tashmooboardinghouse.com or our facebook site. It's an old summer boarding house that we took over in 2009 and are slowly doing over as we can afford it and as sustainably as possible. This year's project has been renovating the original 1900 windows and adding an outside shower.
