5 Things I Love About the Holidays

Five Things I Love about the Holidays
  1. Opening new jammies on Christmas Eve and snuggling up while we watch It's a Wonderful Life or A Christmas Carol

  2. Hot cocoa and cinnamon rolls on Christmas morning

  3. Hanging out with my family who I only get to see twice a year - The distance makes me appreciate them even more.

  4. Sparkly lights that make everything look magical...well...I don't know if they could make my garbage can look magical...but then again I've never tried.

  5. The joy of giving
What are some of your favorite things?

  1. Right now, my favorite thing will be not having to pack anymore stuff. But truly, it's coming downstairs Christmas morning with the kiddos and seeing their eyes light up !

  4. Great things for sure! I may have to start the cinnamon roll tradition, never too late for a new one, yum yum! Do you make them or use the pre-made?
The lights may not make the garbage can look magical, but I'm sure some spray paint or mod podge and glitter could!!! {Just joking.} My friends may not get that one, but my blog friends probably will ;)

  5. Shopping for my loved ones and trying to select just the right thing. I love imagining their faces when they open the gift and thinking about them using/wearing/playing with it. :o)

  6. I think one of my absolute favorite things is seeing my church decorated and glowing awash in candlelight on christmas eve. Another favorite is baking goodies for the boys (big and little). Working from home in my jammies, with hot cocoa and christmas carols on. That takes the work stress away!

  7. I love driving around and looking at Christmas lights. We've done that since they were little. I love my house all Christmasy with the decorations and you're right, you can't beat hot chocolate!

  8. My favorites are very similar. Most definitely curling up to watch It's a Wonderful Life on Christmas Eve!

Love this time of year. It can be so overwhelming if I let it be or so wonderfully magical if I slow down.

  9. The kids are still young enough that it is so much fun seeing them get ready for Santa!! Going to see him, putting out cookies for him and carrots for the reindeer, and then reading his letter Christmas morning. We "send" Santa our Nativity's baby Jesus and he brings it back to us with his letter and THAT is our first (and best) gift of the day!!!

  10. I'd have to agree with you on your 5 things, as well!

I just love the "magic" of the season, everything just seems so much cozier and magical at Christmas. : )

  11. I love driving down the street, late at night, when it's ever so quiet outside, only the crunch of the snow underneath the tires can be heard and sweetly thanking God for life and living and blogging.

(I'm not kidding either! I don't get out much!!!)

    Merry Christmas! Love your list!
