Partying With Funky Junk - Woo Hoo!

I don't normally post on Saturdays, but it's the weekend and I'm ready to party! Well...virtually at Funky Junk Interiors (...Oh that sounds sad...that makes it sound like I'm a creepy guy living in my parent's basement, getting ready to party in a mean game of...networked video game...I promise that's not the case!).

Anyhoo, today's party is all about vignettes...you know, those little groupings around the house that make you smile. So, I'm living it up by showing you a few of my favorite vignettes at The Cottage.

Enjoy your weekend!

  6. Ohhhh... there's a certain calm to all those photos. Just beautiful! The monochromatic scheme and subtle touches of the hues just draw your eye to all the right places. You have a great way with balancing shapes. Nothing looks fussy or busy. Just, right.

Thanks for linking up to the party!

  7. Those are lovely photos :) I'm really looking forward to the "smalls" stage of making this house a home. Tablescaping, layering, creating vignettes - all such great ways to add personalized character to a home and give it some heart. I'm in the boring "bones" stage. Painting, replacing trim, new doors, etc. It all makes a *huge* difference, of course, but it is hard to not run ahead of myself. All in good time!

Thanks for sharing the beautiful photos, again :) You can tell you've really put a lot of love into your home.

  8. Beautimous! :) I snickered at the networked video game comment...my boss' son used to do that in her basement. His friends would all come over with their computers and they'd just sit around and play video games. To each his own, I suppose.

  21. I love your vignette's - and love your blog also. Can you tell me what kind of plant you have in the weathered, square tin box? I love that look and have that exact box sitting here wondering what I should use it for. Was thinking of magazines - but the plant looks fabulous! Thanks!

  23. Thanks so much for your sweet comments everyone!

For anyone that's interested, I found a similar topiary to mine that's in the kitchen at Crate and Barrel. Here's a link: http://www.crateandbarrel.com/family.aspx?c=1502&f=33887

Michelle - I think the wreath is actually made out of straw. It's probably suppose to be the base for making a wreath, but I liked it the way it was :).
