Home Tour - Daybreak, Utah

Tuesday, July 21, 2009

There's a master planned community named Daybreak that was recently built on the western end of the Salt Lake valley. I love this development. Not only is the community well designed with a man made lake, lots of parks, and community centers, but the homes are beautiful. Rather than the typical suburban track home, the homes are designed to look like the charming cottages that you'd see in older, more established neighborhoods.

Take a look...

The doors and trim work are gorgeous! I could move my coffee pot in today--that kitchen called my name!

Those are adorable and so classic Utah! Reminds me of some homes on the Avenues and by Liberty Park! Love it!

I love that interior design for model homes has kept so well in touch with current design. I love the mirrored dressers, the beautiful kitchen and the adorable bedroom with two twin beds. This is a beautiful home. I'll take it as is!! lol

I love Daybreak! I love the park, the lake, the cute houses. We call it Mr. Roger's neighborhood, because of the variety of colored houses. It is the hot place to live in Utah right now and I totally know why :)

I love the houses in Daybreak, but not the lot size :( That's why we just bought our first house in Herriman!

So many inspiring little details! I love the layered picture frames in the room with the twin beds. I did think, "What, no bed tray?" when I scrolled down to that photo, though. Every other bedroom has one! Thanks for sharing!

My friend lived in one of those houses - like the top one - I loved it! The exterior was so charming and cottage like. Was this a model home or just someone you know?

I'm in the middle of a move with my hubby, and I'm currently living in Daybreak with my Parents! The just bought a home here and love it! It is a great community. Lot's of fun different homes to look at! It's definitely a lifestyle here. The houses are all VERY close together and VERY different. Some are classic... gray and white with black front doors... and Some... well... they can range from bright blue to mustard yellow. lol. It's pretty fun here!

I love the kitchen! Most new developments have come to a complete halt here, due to the economy, so we haven't toured model homes in quite awhile. I miss it!

Just found your blog- and love it!

I could move right in- waking up in the blue bedroom seems like it would guarantee a great day.

I too love Daybreak but agree that it is a bit crowded...It is so East Coast, and as an east coaster, I love it! I also love the twin bed room Very warm and homey.

I'm drooling over that kitchen! Beautiful home! Lots of inspiration!

Lovely! I'm glad that they kept with an "old-fashioned" style for the homes. I could move right in and be happy in all the rooms in the photos. Very nice!

Beautiful homes! I love that first one. It's the style of house I would like to build someday. I like many things about newer homes, but I love the architecture of older houses.

I'm a Realtor in SLC and I love selling homes in Daybreak. There really is no other place like it in the state. Its like visiting the old historic parts of SLC, but with everything being brand new. Thanks for sharing this.

too bad when you buy a home there and then want to sell it, you don't get to keep all your equity, but instead have to pay some of it back to daybreak.

The model home is decorated so beautifully! I love the girls' bedroom with the 2 twin beds. FYI, I recognize the fabric used for the window valance - it's a table runner from Pier One!
