Wingback Slipcover

Friday, January 23, 2009

A couple of you asked where I bought the slipcover on my wingback chair. I looked high and low last spring for something inexpensive that would do the job, and I finally found one on QVC's website.

I just looked on their website again, and found one that's either identical or very similar to mine. It's $38.91 plus $3.97 shipping & handling. Mine isn't made of the heaviest most luxurious fabric, but it does its job very well of covering up an ugly chair until I can either afford or make a new slipcover. Here's the link in case you're interested.

Have a great weekend!

the QVC slipcover is nothing like the one you have pictured.

I know this is an old post but saw that the slipcover is still available on QVC. Just wondered if the "natural" color is truly off-white. I was hoping to find a true white slipcover at a good price but it seems to be a hard search. Thanks for your help!

For anyone reading the comments, I just bought this slipcover (3/26/12)and it is a natural cotton color, almost a cream color, but it still looks nice with true white. It is very similar to a lightweight canvas material. It covers pre-existing fabric (especially bold/bright colors) fairly well, I cannot see my other golden yellow colored upholstery under the cover. It is an absolute bear to install the cover and it's as wrinkly as can be, but once you work out the folds/tucking, and steam the cover out it really does look nice and lends a shabby-chic feel to any room. For the price you really can't beat it. And yes, it looks exactly like the one pictured however the flash in this picture may have washed out the creamier color. Also, you can shorten the drop length if you prefer a shorter skirt by folding the excess under and pinning the four corners.
